Jasmine is a licensed esthetician of nine years - specializing in Japanese facial treatments for eight years.

Her practice niche includes treating all skin tones, eastern/western skin care treatments, and thoroughly understanding both eastern and western botanical and clinically studied ingredients for home care recommendations.

For the last ten years - Jasmine has worked at some of the country’s top rated Japanese inspired Bathhouses. Outside of the treatment room, she’s worked within integrative medicine clinics, apothecary’s and community acupuncture clinics in administrative roles. Learning from both eastern and western practitioners on how to maintain excellent bedside manner and integrative client care.

Her botanical studies background stems back from 2015, allowing her to thoroughly decipher therapeutic skin care topical formulations. During the pandemic, Jasmine worked for Laurel Skin Care to apply her botanical studies skills as an herbal production assistant during lockdown.

In the golden age of skin care and clear skin, her approach doesn’t start and end with client goals and “glass skin”. Jasmine’s unique approach sets skin clarity as the expectation - while the focus is to expand deeper Skin-ship, throughout the journey of treating skin. While utilizing several Japanese facial techniques and deep relaxation as the foundational modality, to infuse actives in the skin. The African and Japanese practice of skin-ship are integral to the way she treats and understands skin.

The African anthropological practice of skinship is not “seeing” skin but seeing skinned beings as their age or date of origin. And flesh not being material and fleeting, but vessels of past ancestors and past reflections of the Earth.

An Asian cross-cultural practice and professional respect of skin contact. The collective understanding that human touch and rejuvenation are essential for survival, and or beyond the purpose of cosmetic enhancement.

These definitions are at the heart of Jasmine’s technique, and how she relates to humans and skin in the treatment room.
